Sober AF Dating ("Sober AF", "we", "us") is a dating app for adults aged 18 and over. These standards explain how we prevent, detect and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). They should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Law Enforcement Guidelines.

The short version: we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. The Service is for adults only, we remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts involved, and we report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other authorities as the law requires.

1. Adults only

Sober AF Dating is only for people aged 18 or older. Members must confirm that they are at least 18 when they create an account, and we use age verification to keep minors off the Service. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

2. What is prohibited

We prohibit any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This includes, but is not limited to:

creating, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including drawn, animated or AI-generated material;
grooming, meaning building a relationship with a minor, or with an adult in order to reach a minor, for sexual purposes;
sextortion, meaning threatening or coercing a minor over intimate images or information;
trafficking, or advertising or soliciting a minor, for sexual purposes;
any content that sexualises minors, including comments, images, videos, reels, stories or profile content;
using the Service to contact, meet or arrange contact with a minor;
pretending to be a minor, or misrepresenting your age to get around these rules.

These rules apply to every part of the Service, including profiles, photos, videos, reels, stories, chats and group (Double Date) chats.

3. How to report

You can report any profile, message, photo, video or reel from inside the app using the report and block options on that content or profile. You can also email us using the details in Child safety contact below.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.

4. How we respond

We treat reports involving the safety of children as our highest priority and review them as quickly as possible.
We remove content that violates these standards.
We permanently ban accounts that engage in CSAE and take steps to prevent them from returning.
Where the law requires it, we preserve relevant information so that it can be provided to law enforcement.

5. Reporting to authorities and legal compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material on the Service, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
